Ji-hye, a rough-and-tumble space mercenary, takes on a questionable contract in the hopes of starting her life over.
Set in my sci-fi/science fantasy universe, Tails from the Galaxy, "Fun Tonight" depicts Heo Ji-hye, a gruff mercenary, setting off on her next major contract as she aims to fight for a better life.
This script illustrates my love for writing tense character relationships, snappy dialogue, and fun, fantastical worlds that are still grounded in our modern lives.
The mood, aesthetic, and title of this cinematic were inspired by Macross 82-99's track, "Fun Tonight." The future funk and cyberpunk bubblegum aesthetics are also major inspirations for the Tails from the Galaxy universe as a whole.
